Terms of Service
Draft version · October 2026 · Play-money edition
Legal review pending. These draft terms describe the current play-money service, not a real-money offering. The operator’s legal name, business address, support contact, eligibility requirements and dispute provisions must be finalized before these terms are adopted for a public launch.
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service govern use of FANFLOP at fanflop.com and www.fanflop.com, including its accounts, fantasy football tables and related features (the “Service”). “FANFLOP,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to the operator of the Service; “you” refers to the person using it.
When finalized and adopted, these terms will apply to your use of the Service together with the game rules displayed before entry and the Scoring rules. If you do not agree to the applicable terms, do not enter a game or use the Service.
2. Play money only
FANFLOP currently offers fantasy football games for entertainment using virtual play money. Dollar signs, balances, buy-ins, pots, fees, winnings and refunds refer only to virtual credits, not actual currency.
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be purchased, withdrawn, redeemed for money or transferred outside the Service.
- A new account receives $250 in virtual credits. This is not a cash bonus or a promise of payment.
- There are no cash prizes or other items of monetary value available through the current games.
- Any future paid-entry or cash-prize offering would require a separate legal review, appropriate approvals and new terms. These terms do not authorize such an offering.
3. Eligibility
You must have the legal capacity to accept applicable terms and use the Service only where participation is permitted by law. Do not use the Service if local law prohibits your participation. The availability of a website is not a representation that its use is lawful in every location.
FANFLOP may restrict participation where necessary to comply with law. Specific age and location requirements will be established before public launch; no real-money eligibility or gaming license is represented by these draft terms.
4. Accounts and account security
Each person may hold one account. Provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials private and do not share, sell or transfer your account. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account.
Do not impersonate another person, create duplicate accounts to collect additional credits, or access an account without permission. If you suspect unauthorized access, stop using the compromised credentials and use the available password-reset options.
Where a cellphone number is provided, it must belong to you or be a number you are authorized to use. A cellphone number cannot be attached to multiple accounts.
5. Entering a table and confirming a buy-in
Current tables offer $10, $20 or $50 virtual buy-ins, with up to eight seats. You may participate in up to ten live tables at a time, subject to available seats and sufficient virtual balance.
Selecting a table opens a confirmation before any buy-in is deducted. Selecting “Confirm Buy-In” authorizes deduction of the displayed virtual amount and entry into that table. Review the amount and rules before confirming.
Confirmed entries cannot ordinarily be canceled by the player. The full-refund exception for a table with fewer than two players is described in Section 8. Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
6. Dealing, drawing and locking a hand
The weekly NFL deck contains 99 cards. Each hand contains nine roster slots: one quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, one tight end, one FLEX, one kicker and one defense/special teams. Cards are randomly dealt from the remaining eligible cards for each slot; a strong hand or any particular player is not guaranteed.
- You have 180 seconds after the deal to review your hand and choose up to three cards for one exchange.
- Replacement cards are drawn for the same roster slots. Exchanged cards return to the available deck.
- Marking a card for trade does not process the exchange. The “Trade in now” action submits it.
- Submitting the exchange, choosing “Keep all 9,” or expiration of the permitted trading window sets your hand. A table or week lock can also end the opportunity to trade.
- Opponent hands are hidden while a table is open and become visible after it closes to further entries.
Consult the current table and week status before entering. A countdown is informational; the recorded table status determines whether an entry or exchange is accepted. During testing, administrators may use simulated timing or results.
7. Scoring and virtual prize allocation
Hands are ranked by total fantasy points under the published Scoring rules, including full point-per-reception scoring. Projections are estimates, not earned points or guarantees of future performance. Injuries, inactivity and changes in real-world playing time may affect results; an injury does not automatically entitle a player to a replacement or refund.
For a qualifying table, a 10% virtual house fee is removed from the total buy-ins. The remaining virtual pot is allocated according to the number of participants:
- Two players: first place receives 100% of the remaining pot.
- Three players: first place receives 70% and second place receives 30%.
- Four to eight players: first place receives 70%, second place 20% and third place 10%.
- Tied players share equally the combined allocations for the finishing places occupied by the tie.
Prize amounts displayed before a table fills may be estimates. Actual allocations depend on the final number of participants and recorded results. All allocations remain virtual credits with no cash value.
8. Canceled tables and refunds
A table requires at least two players. If a table has fewer than two players when the week locks, it is canceled and each participant’s full virtual buy-in is returned. No house fee is taken from that refund.
Canceled games appear under My Games → History. A credited refund appears as a positive “Buy-in refund (game canceled)” entry in Money history. A refund restores virtual credits only; it is not a payment of actual money.
FANFLOP may cancel or correct games affected by material technical errors, unlawful activity or circumstances that prevent reliable scoring. Any resulting virtual-credit adjustment should be reflected in the account history.
9. Sports data, corrections and interruptions
FANFLOP relies on third-party sports data. Player information, projections, statistics and results may be incomplete, delayed or corrected. The current data plan may provide next-day updates rather than real-time scoring.
Displayed points and rankings are provisional until a table is settled. FANFLOP may investigate and correct errors in received statistics, calculations or virtual-credit records. Retain the game code shown on a table when reporting a discrepancy.
Internet interruptions, device issues and service outages may prevent a timely entry or trade. An action is accepted only when it is successfully recorded by the Service; clicking a button alone does not guarantee acceptance. A lost connection does not automatically extend a trading window.
10. Fair play and prohibited conduct
Use the Service honestly and lawfully. You may not:
- Collude, coordinate accounts to manipulate results, exploit bugs or obtain an unfair advantage through unauthorized information.
- Use unauthorized bots, scripts or tools to enter games, trade cards or interfere with the Service.
- Bypass security controls, tamper with balances or timers, scrape private account information or disrupt other players.
- Harass, threaten or impersonate others, submit unlawful content or infringe another person’s rights.
- Use FANFLOP credits or games to organize off-platform wagers or exchange anything of monetary value.
Administrators may run clearly identified test games or use test bots to check functionality. Administrative access must not be used to manipulate ordinary game outcomes for personal advantage.
11. Communications and privacy
Your account lets you choose a preferred communication channel and separately opt in or out of optional email and text updates. Choosing a preferred channel is not, by itself, consent to marketing. Providing a phone number does not, by itself, authorize marketing texts.
You can change these preferences on the Account page. Optional text delivery depends on messaging availability and your consent; carrier message and data charges may apply if texts are enabled. Necessary account-security or service messages may be handled separately from optional marketing preferences, as permitted by law.
Account and game records are used to operate the Service. Your username, avatar and game information may be visible to other participants where needed for play. These terms are not a substitute for a Privacy Policy; a separate policy explaining data use, retention and privacy rights must be completed before public launch.
12. Intellectual property and third-party services
FANFLOP’s original branding, software and content belong to their respective rights holders. You may use the Service for personal participation, but may not copy, redistribute or commercially exploit protected material without permission or a legal right to do so.
Athlete names, photographs, team logos, league marks and third-party statistics remain subject to their owners’ rights. Their appearance does not imply sponsorship or endorsement. FANFLOP is not FanDuel and does not claim affiliation with FanDuel, the NFL, NFL teams, ESPN or its sports-data providers.
Third-party sites and services have their own terms. FANFLOP does not control their availability, accuracy or content.
13. Restrictions, suspension and termination
FANFLOP may restrict or suspend accounts when reasonably necessary to investigate suspected misuse, protect players, comply with law or address material violations of these terms. Where appropriate and legally permitted, affected users should receive an explanation and an opportunity to raise a concern.
The Service may be changed or discontinued. Testing may require resets of virtual balances or game records. Because virtual credits have no cash value, they do not create a right to cash compensation. This does not remove rights or remedies required by law.
14. Disclaimers and legal rights
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is offered on an “as available” and “as is” basis. FANFLOP does not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free statistics, a particular result or the continued availability of any game or feature.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, or waives mandatory consumer protections. Any additional liability limits, indemnity provisions or other risk allocations must be reviewed for the final operating entity and applicable law before adoption.
15. Questions, disputes and changes
For a game or balance concern, retain the game code, relevant Money history entries and a description of what occurred. The operator’s support contact and business address will be added once confirmed.
These draft terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver or an exclusive court location. Governing-law and dispute-resolution provisions remain subject to legal review; applicable legal rights are preserved.
Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised version date. Material changes should be communicated before they take effect. Changes to game rules should be disclosed before the affected entry rather than retroactively changing an accepted game, except where a correction or legal requirement makes a change necessary.
